You can have a website that shows your work. For example, if you’ve been featured for a piece you’ve written, you need that on your website. Your blog is another way to build a portfolio.

One thing that would be pretty cool to have is if the newspaper publishes your article then it’d be nice to have the piece. In this case you could carry that with you or hang it up say somewhere.
