The pre-sleep routine is so important. Even though I love the morning, I am not productive if I don’t get a decent nights sleep. Even with children, the way I do that is with a pre-sleep routine.
Every day I choose what time I finish working for the night. When I reach that time then I need 10–30 minutes to unwind and go to sleep — i guess this is #1 of your piece. It makes a huge difference having this routine! I need to shut down before going to bed.
