I wouldn’t say that America is yet a dictatorship (obviously there are checks and balances), but I recently wrote a piece on that American democracy is failing. With that failure is reduced civil liberties. While I don’t expect or think the 22nd Amendment will be repealed, I think that the country is definitely leaning in that direction. Certainly, it’s foreign policy, trade policy, and some domestic policies lean that way.
