He is a charismatic wannabe dictator. He managed to take over the GOP and rid it of any conservative principles. He managed to build a (now ailing) coalition with evangelicals who looked past his indescretions and, arguably, non-christian behaviour. So, yes, he has charistmatic but for the wrong reasons.
